self defense club

Advisor: Mr. Doherty

Description: Students are taught the fundamentals of self-defense.  This is a true black belt program in that students who train long enough and hard enough are able to earn internationally recognized ranks in Jiteki-Jyuku, an Okinawan style, up to and including their first degree black belt. It is possible to continue beyond first degree black belt but there is not enough time in high school to do so while still a student here. We do however have former students who return as coaches who continue to train with us so this is always a possibility for continued advancement.

Student Leaders: Katelyn Henczel, Olivia Arena

Meeting Days and Times: Typically Mondays and Wednesdays in B114 from 2:30-4pm

Kata
