NEAT
Advisors - Mrs Eriole & Mr Russell
The New Entrant Assistance Team is a student organization including members of different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. The team is designed to assist students in grades ten through twelve as they adjust to the demands and expectations of Shrewsbury High School. NEAT targets easing the transition of a smaller group of older students who are joining the community for the first time. Student volunteers ambassadors provide support through orientation sessions, tours, informal social networking through small group meetings and social gatherings throughout the school year. Activities include Freshmen and New Entrant orientation and tours. Throughout the year, Ambassadors are also called upon to help guide new entrants through their day as they adjust to the relative day schedule, iPads, lunches, Schoology, etc.
New members are always welcome and, once the school year is underway, ninth graders are encouraged to get involved.
Meeting Location is in the Career Center in the Guidance office - listen for announcements or see School Counseling to join!
