HELPING HANDS
Advisor - Mrs. Cobb
Description: This group of students works to do things for people in the community. There is usually an emphasis on health and wellness. Students meet once or twice a month or as needed for the upcoming activity. Club members are involved with helping the school community or the community at large. At times the goal is to spread awareness of a cause by hanging informational posters or distributing ribbons to wear in solidarity. This is a very dedicated group that is caring and committed to doing things for others. They also work to be informative. In the past, the club has had a disease awareness week. Each day a club member gave information during the school announcements and created an information table during lunch.
Activities: Diabetes Walk, Gifts for teachers, Ornament making fundraiser, Campus cleanup, visiting a local nursing home, Collecting pennies for Leukemia & Lymphoma, etc.
We meet Mondays in M310
