MVP (mentor volunteer program)

Advisor: Mr. Patrick Collins

These students (roughly 100 juniors and seniors) assist grade 9 students in acclimating to classes, learning about activities, using their lockers, and adjusting to the high school environment throughout their first year at SHS.  These mentors are assigned to grade 9 homerooms, where they meet once per cycle for the entire year to assist the students with the challenges associated with being new to high school.  Summer training for MVP is held every August.  Mentors also coordinate the freshman orientation each year.
