Practice- 2:50-4:00. All students must be picked up in the back parking lot by the gym by 4:00. Please be prompt picking up your child as all of the coaches have other obligations. If your child is repeatedly picked up late, they will not be able to participate on the track team.

Track practices are every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Practices - April 25th 26th, 30th, May 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 16th, 17th (Team Meet), 21st, 23rd (Meet vs. AMSA), 24th
Meets: As of right now, we only have one meet: HOME May 23rd vs. AMSA at 3:30pm. We will have a team meet on May 17th.

**Unfortunately due to budget constraints we are only an Intramural sport at Oak, not an interscholastic like Basketball and Cross Country. As a result, we are not able to travel to away meets and are limited in our capacity to host a meet. The goals of the track and field intramural program are to provide an introduction to track and field, help students get in good physical shape and also when possible be competitive with other schools. As coaches, we wish there were more opportunities for the runners to compete, however at this current time this is not possible. The runners always put in incredible effort knowing that there will only be one or two meets. Thank you for your understanding and support this season.**

  • Required for practice: sneakers, running attire and a water bottle.
  • Students are expected to attend all practices.
  • The $50.00 Activities fee must be paid (if not already paid for another sport or activity) before the student can participate.
  • Athletes will be able to compete in 2 events (possibly more if not all spots are filled).

Three Team Rules:

  1. Listen when coaches are talking or directions are being given
  2. Be respectful and display good sportsmanship
  3. Put forth your best effort.

A Message from the Nurse:

Dear parents/guardians,

Please be aware that we will not be sending any medications from the nurses’ office to track practices or events. Under the district’s medication policy, students at the secondary level are permitted to carry emergency medications provided we have a signed doctor’s order on file. If your child requires an Epi-pen or an inhaler, he/she should bring an extra to school and carry it with him/her each day. Your child should be trained in the self-administration of his/her medication.

Please also be aware that there are no trained medical personnel available at practices or events.

Feel free to call me at (508) 841-1204 or email me at if you have any questions.
