Welcome students, parents, and caregivers of Grade 8 students!

The Grade 9 course selection page has all of the information that families will need to get started with the course selection process. Please review the timeline carefully as it contains important dates and deadlines for the course selection process.  There are also a series of videos that outline the course selection process for students, provides more information on available classes, and gives step by step instructions for how to fill out their course selection worksheet. It is important that students complete the Course Selection Worksheet because students will use it when they register for classes during the week of March 14th. We ask that all students watch all of the videos at least once so that they have a complete picture of the process and can make informed decisions on their class selections.

Please note that all Grade 8 students will register for classes at Shrewsbury High School, regardless of their plans to attend another high school. It has been our experience that family and student plans are often in flux and decisions about attending another high school are often made later in the spring. Because of this, we ask that all students fill out the course registration worksheet and register for classes at SHS. Later in the spring, school representatives will contact the family of each student who has applied to another school or has indicated that they are moving to confirm the student’s high school plans. If a parent confirms that the student is attending a high school other than Shrewsbury High School, the student’s course registration choices will be taken out of Powerschool at that time.
