Sherwood Middle School sponsors a Ski Club after school during the winter season. The program has been very successful through the years and promises to be equally popular this year. Ski Club is not a team; it is group skiing/snowboarding offered at discount prices. It is for all skiers and snowboarders; beginners, intermediate, and advanced, but if you are a beginner, you MUST take lessons.
****Please note that this program is a ski club and not a learn-to ski-program. The majority of our students are experienced skiers and have previously participated in learn-to-ski lessons. We strongly encourage you to make sure your child has learned to ski prior to joining ski club as we are only permitted one adult chaperone to every ten skiers and skiers are expected to be fairly independent while at the mountain.
The Ski Club is an extra activity and will be under strict guidelines. Any student with inappropriate behavior in school, on the bus, or at the mountain will lose their privilege to ski with the group with absolutely no money refunded.
All students who join Ski Club will be required to wear a helmet.
