Gap Junction Junior Veterinarian Program
Each year, Sherwood collaborates with the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine to offer the "Gap Junction Junior Veterinarian Program" as an after-school enrichment program for 6th grade students. Gap Junction classes are taught by veterinary students from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton. Students who participate will learn about animal science through classroom experiences and hands-on projects that may include looking at real x-rays and models, and learning to use a stethoscope to listen to a heartbeat. Students will travel to Tufts where they will take classes in real laboratories and have an opportunity to visit the farm animals!
The course will be offered in the spring of 2025, and program details will be posted here and sent to parents through the Sherwood weekly newsletter. More information will be coming soon!
