Gap Junction Junior Veterinarian Program

Registration is now open in the Parent Portal.

Sherwood is pleased to offer the Gap Junction Junior Veterinarian Program as an after-school enrichment program for 6th grade students.  Gap Junction classes are taught by veterinary students from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton.  Students who participate will learn about animal science through classroom experiences and hands-on projects that may include looking at real x-rays and models, and learning to use a stethoscope to listen to a heartbeat.  Students will travel to Tufts where they will take classes in real laboratories and have an opportunity to visit the farm animals!

Class Dates:  Tuesdays, March 19, March 26, and April 9. Please do not sign up if you cannot attend all three of the sessions.

Students will be bused to Tufts from Sherwood Middle School, leaving school at approximately 2:45 and returning to the school at approximately 4:45 pm.  Parents are responsible for transporting children home from Sherwood Middle School.

The fee for this program is $15.
If you qualify for free lunch, the fee will be waived.  If you have questions about your eligibility for the discount, please contact Karen Isaacson. kisaacson@shrewsbury.k12.ma.us

Registration will open in the Parent Portal on Friday January 26th at 7:00AM

Enrollment is limited to 30 students and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  We expect the class to fill quickly.  Payment is due at the time of registration.  IMPORTANT:  unpaid registrations will be automatically deleted.  Spots in the class will not be held.  Your payment receipt is confirmation of your enrollment.
