SCAPE (Shrewsbury Coalition for Addiction Prevention and Education) hosted, and State Representative Hannah Kane sponsored, a talk by Dr.Ruth Potee called "Under Construction - What every parent must know about your tween/teens brain development" on November 16, 2017 at Shrewsbury High School, that addressed adolescent brain development and its impact on teen risk taking, including alcohol and substance abuse.

SCHOOL CHOICE INFORMATION

March 30, 2017

On March 29, 2017, the School Committee voted against opening new School Choice seats for the 2017-2018 school year.

Tonight's School Committee Meeting (1-11-2017) has been moved to the Bent Presentation Room at Shrewsbury High School, 64 Holden Street, due to a Town Hall Building Issue. The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.

The 2017-18 Preschool Application Deadline has been extended until 1/25/17.

On December 5, 2016, Town Meeting members voted unanimously to approve $1.2 million of funding, about half of which will be reimbursed by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), to complete a feasibility study and schematic design to determine the best plan for a potential building project that will address the Beal building (built in 1922) and the long-term space needs for our grades K-4 enrollment.
