2023-2027 Strategic plan

Work at Shrewsbury Public Schools to create an updated strategic plan for the next five years has concluded.  On April 26, 2023, the School Committee voted unanimously to approve the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan.

Shrewsbury Public Schools partnered with Focused Schools to assist in identifying the district's strengths and ensuring robust input was received from all  stakeholders. At the School Committee meeting on March 29, 2023, consultants from Focused Schools presented a draft of the proposed strategic plan for the school district for 2023-2027. The presentation slides are linked here and their presentation can be viewed here. Shrewsbury Public Schools November 16, 2022, Strategic Planning Community Forum Information

On November 16, 2022 over three dozen students, staff, families, and community members worked together to think about where we want our schools to focus for the next five years. In small groups, teams reflected on strengths (things to keep doing) and opportunities (areas for growth). These reflections were centered around Portrait of a Graduate and the priorities and goals of the current SPS Strategic Plan.  

 

The evening concluded with an activity that allowed participants to share their “hopes” and “dreams” for the next five years. Some recurring themes emerged from these collaborative conversations: Well-Being, Authentic Learning, Belonging, Opportunities
