Coolidge After School Activities Program (ASAP)

Registration for the fall ASAP classes has closed.  There will be more classes offered in January.  Class content and registration information for the winter session will be posted here in early December.

Description: Do you enjoy staying active? Do you like to have fun and meet new friends? If you do, Fitness Club is the place for you! In Fitness Club, we'll play games and do activities that help us to move our bodies and use our muscles. I hope you can join in on the fitness fun!

Class: Picture Book Art - Sorry, class is full

Description: Come relax after school and enjoy fun picture books as well as making art! We will base our art projects on a different picture book each week. Projects may include painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, printmaking, and clay. You can also practice writing about your art in an art journal. It will be a fun way to combine literacy, art, and writing skills!

Class: Mindfulness in Art cancelled
Cost: $40
Grades: 3, 4
Time: 3:30-4:30
Dates: 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7

Description: Mindfulness means paying attention to our thoughts, feelings, sensations as they are happening.  By practicing mindfulness we can become happier, less worried, and more focused.  In this class we will learn ways to be mindful and present while having fun making art!

Additional Information

  • Students are supervised in the media center from 3:15-3:30, prior to the start of class
  • There is no transportation provided for this class.  Parents must pick up their child in the Coolidge lobby promptly at 4:30
  • Students who are enrolled in extended day will be brought to the cafeteria after class and you may pick them up from ESC as you normally would
  • Class fees are non-refundable.  Credit will not be given if your child misses a class.  If a class is cancelled (for inclement weather or teacher illness) we will make every effort to offer a make-up class on a different date


Registration Instructions:

  • Log into the Parent Portal.
  • From the navigation menu on the left, select “Sports and Activities”
  • Choose the class you wish to take by clicking “Assign Fee”
  • From the navigation menu, select “Payment Center” and you will be redirected to School Pay
  • Your spot is not reserved until you have completed your payment.

The Coolidge After School Activities Program (ASAP) offers hour-long classes that run once a week after school for 6 weeks.  Anticipated program dates for the 2018-2019 school year are:
Session 1:  October 1- November 9
Session 2: January 7 - February 15
Session 3:  March 4 - April 12
Session 4:  April 29 - June 7

Each class costs $40. Class titles vary depending on the interests and availability of the teachers.

Classes are only open to the students enrolled at Coolidge. Information about the classes will be posted here, and will be included in the principal's weekly email to parents.
