Beal After School Activities Program (ASAP) - Fall 2022

The Beal After School Activities Program (ASAP) offers hour-long classes that run once a week, after school, for 6 weeks.

REGISTER NOW THROUGH THE PARENT PORTAL. Payment must be made at the time of registration.  Unpaid registrations will be deleted.

All classes run simultaneously, so you may only choose one of the following classes.  Please note the specific grade level for each class.

Class: Baking Creations
Grades: 1, 2, 3, 4
Instructor: Ms. Jamie White
Schedule: Mondays, 3:30-4:30PM
Class size: 12
Cost: $40
Dates: 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, 11/28
Description: Come and design your own personal baker’s aprons and learn how to bake your favorite recipes! You will create unique and tasty treats while using your baking skills! While doing this you will learn how to read a recipe and how to measure ingredients! We will choose which recipes we get to make and some options may include brownies, no bake cookie dough balls, Oreo balls, ice cream sandwiches, waffles, mini pies, and more! The best part is being able to enjoy your treats after you make them!!

Class: Art, Mindfulness and Healthy Coping Skills
Grades: 2, 3, 4
Instructor: Ms. Nataki Baptiste
Schedule: Mondays, 3:30-4:30PM
Class size: 16
Cost: $40
Dates: 10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, 11/28
Description: This class will feature a different activity each week that helps kids develop strategies for staying calm, managing emotions, and handling challenges. Activities include art projects, sensory tools, movement and breathing exercises.

A note about the schedule:  Students will be supervised at school from 3:15-3:30, and then will be taken to class 3:30-4:30.  Students must be picked up at 4:30.  There is no transportation for this program.  Students who attend extended day on Mondays may report back to the cafeteria at 4:30.
