About Us

Major Howard W. Beal School Mission

Major Howard W. Beal School will establish the roots of lifelong learning where all are accepted and respected members of a safe and caring community. We will grow to be socially and emotionally confident to become academically empowered. Together we will celebrate our unique strengths to pursue individual dreams and achieve collective goals.

Beal School Core Values

Beal School fosters belonging for all and celebrates diversity
Beal School promotes health and well-being in harmony with the natural world
Beal School challenges its community to be courageous
Beal School cultivates kindness
Beal School empowers learners

Beal School is busy with activity, and a collegial atmosphere is pervasive throughout the building.  Our work begins in August when classroom assignments, school handbooks, and orientation schedules are mailed to each student's home. Orientation begins and parents start to get involved.

At Beal, parents, extended family, and community members provide an array of services such as:

  • Volunteering in the classroom, school office, and media center
  • Accompanying children on field trips
  • Providing reading, writing, and math enrichment for the classroom
  • Serving on the PTO or School Council
  • Upgrading and maintaining the playground and grounds.
