Kindergarten Summer Fun

Each year in early August, the elementary schools host a four-day program for preschool students who will be entering Kindergarten at Shrewsbury Public Schools in the fall. This is a great way to introduce your child to kindergarten by experiencing a day in the life of a kindergarten student!  The program typically runs Monday-Thursday, 9:00-11:30 and costs $125 for the four-day session.

Registration for the 2026 program has closed (program dates August 3-6).  Information about the 2027 program will be available in April.

The program will be held at your child's designated kindergarten building. Children will follow a typical kindergarten schedule including center time, whole group meeting, recess and a story. Children will need to bring a snack each day. Your child will leave feeling more confident and ready for the first day of Kindergarten!
