Spring Street Link
June 10, 2019
We’re looking forward to our last few days of school this week, it’s sure to be a busy one.
Information about the updated K-4 Summer Reading list along with a reading and math calendar can be found on the SPS website link here. The reading list provides a list of leveled books from which your child could choose to read this summer. The Shrewsbury Public Library is also a great source for summer reading materials. The math calendar provides many impromptu, ‘do anywhere’ math activities that will keep numbers and math thinking active all summer long.
For those students who are using Raz-Kids and/or Lexia, your child’s current username and password will enable your child to access this tool all summer. Please consider this an important resource to help your child continue to read in the summer months. If you are unsure of your child’s username or password, please contact your child’s teacher.
For students transitioning to 5th grade, the Summer Reading List can be found along in the same location as the elementary list.
We are thankful to have had the opportunity to share much the excellent learning and growth that has taken place at our school throughout the year. We are grateful that you share your children with us, they come to school eager and enthusiastic to learn, and that our school has an unbelievably supportive family community that values the academic, social, and emotional growth that takes place in our school every day. Thank you and have a great summer!
Well-Deserved Thank You
Thank you to our parent community for their exceptional support and generosity with their time to enable our field day and Spring Street School Community Celebration that took place last Friday. As you know, our students thoroughly enjoyed the entire day and enjoyed spending time with families and friends. A special thank you to our PTO board, Liz Foxwell, Karen Zidonis, Jen Daley, Bree Shaw, and Amy Slicer, for their organization, facilitation, and leadership throughout the year, much appreciation.
Student Medication in the Nurse’s Office
If you child has any medication (Epipen, inhaler, prescription medication, over the counter medication) in the nurse’s office, please make sure to pick it up before June 14th. All medication, that is left in the nurse’s office after June 14th will be disposed of.
