SPS Foundation

About the SPS Foundation

In conjunction with the SPS Colonial Fund, the SPS Foundation helps to raise and facilitate the distribution of funds among the nine public schools in the district to CTE Equipment, purchase instructional materials and classroom supplies essential to day-to-day teaching, filling funding gaps in the standard school budget. SPS Foundation has also supported programs such as SHS Robotics, DECA (a competitive Business and Leadership club) and RISE (Reaching Independence through Supported Employment).

Since 2009, the SPS Foundation has raised over $240,000 to directly benefit our students. These funding initiatives arise from new opportunities or require unique funding, ensuring students have access to experiences that expand their learning and career horizons.

What Have Donations to the SPS Foundation Made Possible?

Thanks to generous supporters, we have brought a wide range of enriching programs and experiences to our students, including:

Educational resources and school technology, through annual grants to all 9 schools in the district
SHS Robotics supplies and competitions
DECA competitions
RISE programming

These experiences provide students with real-world exposure to potential careers, hands-on learning, and access to advanced technology and wellness resources that enrich their educational journey.

Why Give?

Every year, Shrewsbury educators discover new ways to inspire students, or discover opportunities to expand career technical education and career exploration for middle and high school students. These programs often require resources beyond what the annual budget allows.
