Education is the cornerstone of a thriving community, and at Shrewsbury Public Schools, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience for every student. Through its Annual Fund, the Colonial Fund, Shrewsbury Public Schools has supported innovation, education, exploration and special projects throughout the district. 

However Shrewsbury Public Schools does not do this on their own.  We rely on donors like you, to sustain and support ongoing operational expenses, special projects, or specific programs which support the needs and dreams of our teachers and students.  

Make a one-time donation or consider making a monthly donation to maximize your giving ability and spread the payments out into manageable amounts.  

We are grateful that you have chosen to make a local donation to the Colonial Fund, which supports every school and student in our district. 

This year your donation will go towards Career Exploration programming for Shrewsbury High School students.  Career Exploration focuses on career exploration and on-the-job training through internships, job shadowing, summer employment and potentially long-term employment.  We are hoping to make this new, multifaceted approach to career exploration and future goals planning available to all interested SHS students during their junior and senior years.

Our goal is to raise funds to support the transportation costs for multi-week programming for as many students as possible.  Last April, SPS placed 14 students in 7 different locations for job shadowing experiences in lab research, childcare, veterinarian services, banking services, and operating a sports venue.  This Spring, we will at least double the amount of job shadowing opportunities, and add internships and summer programming.
