Shrewsbury Public Schools
This is an update for all Shrewsbury families and staff as of 10:50am:
1) All students and staff at all schools remain safe.
2) The Coolidge School campus remains in secure mode due to an incident that occurred in the Jordan Pond area that did NOT involve the school. All Coolidge students and staff are safe.
3) Shrewsbury Police have issued a shelter in place for the Jordan Pond/Edgewater Ave/Plainfield Ave area and ask that no one go to that area or to the Coolidge campus until further notice. I will communicate an update for Coolidge families when the shelter-in-place is lifted.
4) Coolidge students on the bus who had not yet arrived at school when the campus was secured were re-routed to Beal School and are safe. If you are a Coolidge parent and your child is now at Beal, you will receive a call so that you can go to Beal School to dismiss them.
5) All other school locations are not affected. Again, children and staff at all of our schools are safe. I strongly suggest that parents with students at other schools not call your school or dismiss your child.
I will update you as we receive more information. Thank you for your cooperation.
