Dear Shrewsbury Families & Colleagues,
I want to make you aware of information we received today regarding a suspicious person and vehicle.
It has been reported that this morning, a Latino male in a black sedan approached three Floral Street School students at the bus stop at Shrewsbury Commons. A parent at the bus stop and the students report that this individual told the students that he was an Uber driver and that their parents had asked him to take them to school. The students refused and told the man that they were taking the bus, and as the bus pulled up the individual drove away.
The Shrewsbury Police are actively investigating this incident and will be increasing their presence at that location. If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact the Shrewsbury Police Department at 508-841-8577.
I wanted to make you aware of this situation directly, and ask that families remind your children about your rules regarding safety and strangers and to report anything unusual to you or an adult at school immediately.
