Dear Shrewsbury Families & Colleagues,
I have been closely monitoring the weather forecasts for tomorrow (Wed, Jan 25). I am now seeing agreement among forecasters that while some light snow and snow showers may arrive as soon as midday, heavier snow will not arrive until 4pm onward. Please note the following important information so that you can plan ahead:
1) Student afternoon dismissal times will not change - we will have a full day of school for all schools at all levels (preschool, elementary, middle, and high school)
2) The following schedule adjustments will be made for after school activities tomorrow (Wed, Jan 25):
- The Shrewsbury High School campus will close at 3pm; all students must leave campus by that time
- At the middle and elementary levels there will be no after school activities - campuses will close as soon as students are dismissed
- Afternoon Extended School Care is canceled for Sherwood and all elementary schools
3) All evening activities or events scheduled for school buildings tomorrow evening (Wed, Jan 25) are canceled and will be rescheduled as possible
4) A decision on tomorrow evening's School Committee meeting will be made sometime during the day tomorrow
