PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Physical education is an integral part of the total education of the student, contributing to the physical development of the individual through promotion and appreciation of physical fitness and activity. It is a planned sequence of learning experiences designed to fulfill the growth, development, and behavior needs of each student. We recognize the unique opportunity physical education has to contribute to social and emotional development, opportunities for positive peer group interaction, good sportsmanship, and proper self-discipline and control.
Our Physical Education curriculum aims to develop student's physical competence and knowledge of movement and safety through the opportunity to perform a wide range of activities associated with the development of leading an active and healthy lifestyle. Furthermore our curriculum is designed to develop a students sense of purpose by providing meaningful learning experinces in individual and group activities meant to foster important life skills that build confidence , especially those of collaboration, communication, creativity, crtical thinking, empathy, and making connections to eah other and our environment. In educating the whole person, these skills taught together with the nurturing of positive values in Physical edcuatin, atre the foundations for developing lifelong learners able to better navigate the challenges of the 21st century.
