A message from the Friends of Shrewsbury Crew:

As the Shrewsbury Boys and Girls Crew teams kick off their spring 2018 season, Friends of Shrewsbury Crew has kicked off their Fund the Fleet fundraising campaign.  This campaign has the goal of raising $90,000 to support the purchase of two new boats. The competitive life of a racing boat is 6-8 years.  The newest boat in the Shrewsbury fleet is seven years old.  Due to wear and age, these boats will perform slower against competition with newer and more technically advanced boats.  To place our athletes the best position for success, it is imperative that the oldest boats be retired and replaced with new equipment.  Here's how you can help:

  1. Please consider an individual or corporate contribution to the campaign.  Further details can be found at  Many donation levels include recognition and some include oar, boat seat and boat naming rights.

  2. If you have a family member, friend, colleague, neighbor or business associate that you believe may be interested in contributing, please consider extending the organizing committee an introduction so they can share information and assess the willingness to contribute.  Information can be passed along to to the organizing committee at

Additional information on this campaign can be found at and questions of any kind can be addressed to  Thank you for your consideration in supporting our boys and girls crew programs!
