ELL Summer Reading
Dear Families,
During the summer months, it is important that students read everyday. Studies have shown that students who read during the summer can actually improve their reading. It is important that students are encouraged to read and understand books at their reading level. If students have books from the reading lists in their native language or choose books from the library in their first languages, it is okay to read those books. Reading is an important part of learning. It is our hope that students will read in English and, if they can, read in the language they speak at home. Please contact the English Language Education Director if you have any questions.
