It is been a tradition for many years for the Service Club at Oak Middle School to run a service project to support school families in need during the Holiday Season. Several years ago, the club began running its "Coins of Fury” as a way to involve the entire school community ( students and teachers) in this project. Color teams work together to raise the most money. Coins count towards your total and paper money is subtracted. The money is collected during lunches by the Community Service and Leadership Club (CSLC) members using large water jugs. Teams are allowed to work together on a strategy as students can donate to any teams collection!!

We will begin collecting for our annual  drive on Wednesday, November 28th and will run until Monday, December 3rd.

A quick review of how Coins of Fury is run: 7th and 8th grade color teams work together to collect as many coins as possible in their container by the end of the period.   Yes, you may work together to develop some strategies but you can only deposit your coins during your lunch period.  Paper money donations are also welcome but they subtract from your total - you do not want to put paper money in your own bottle, you want to donate those to another team.

All coins are counted and then all paper money is subtracted from the coin total to determine the winner.  The winner gets the Coins of Fury Trophy and Color Cup points.

Thank you all again for your support. Your generosity is going to not only going to help families during the holiday season, it is going to allow CSLC to continue to support families in need throughout the rest of the school year!!
