About the Building

The school building was constructed in 1953 originally as Shrewsbury High School. When construction of a new high school was complete, renovations were started to add a second middle school in Shrewsbury.  In September 2004 the school was reopened as Oak Middle School.

Oak Middle School consists of grades 7 and 8.

There are approximately 1000 students currently enrolled for the 2015-16 school year.  There are 5 teams per grade with four core teachers per team.  A special education teacher and paraprofessionals and/or ABA technicians are assigned to each team.
