Description:  The Lucy Burns’ Honor Society is the local chapter of the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society which  is the only national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of Social Studies. Members of Rho Kappa have demonstrated that they have the content knowledge and intellectual skills, and civic values necessary for fulfilling the duties of citizenship in a participatory democracy. Members of Lucy Burns’ fulfill the mission of National Council for the Social Studies by providing leadership, service, and support for social science education.
