Paton ASAP

The Paton After School Activities Program offers classes throughout the year.
These classes are only open to students currently enrolled in Paton School. There will be two more sessions during the 2017-2018 school year - starting in early March, and starting in late April.
All information about the classes will be posted here and announcements will be sent to all Paton parents via email in advance of registration. Class offerings vary throughout the year depending on teacher availability and interest.

Registration for the March class will open Wednesday February 14th at 7:00AM.  Click on the name of the class to register.

ClassMindful Art
Grades: 2, 3 & 4
Time: Thursdays, 3:30-4:30
Dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12

Description: Get in the creative flow and quiet the busy mind, with mindfulness-inspired art! Training the mind to be more present is a great way for kids to strengthen attention skills, improve focus, increase capacity for learning, as well as calm the mind and body. Art naturally invites our present-moment awareness and focused-attention, and is a great way to learn the principles of mindfulness in a fun, expressive, and creative way. In this class, we will explore and apply mindfulness practices while creating works of art!

ClassScrapbooking club
Grades: 2, 3 & 4
Time: Thursdays, 3:30-4:30
Dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12

Description: Let's get scrapbooking! Come and create memorable moments and design your very own scrapbook. We will use a variety of materials and supplies including colorful paper, stickers and glitter.

ClassCamp Classics
Grades: K, 1 & 2
Time: Thursdays, 3:30-4:30

Description: Do you love crafts? Camp games or songs? Come have fun with a variety of “old school” camp crafts and activities!!! Each week we will explore a new craft and a camp song and/or game!

ClassKind Kids Club
Grades: K, 1, 2 & 3
Time: Thursdays, 3:30-4:30
Dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12

Description: Students will work together to display random acts of kindness in our community. Through writing jokes for senior citizens, making stuffed animals for children, creating kindness jars, we will find many ways to bring smiles to people’s faces who need it in our community!

Description: Do you love creating and building in your free time? Join us for Building Buddies! We’ll be using Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, Legos, KNex, and a few other building tools to create castles, ships, cities, and other imaginary structures. Some of us might even participate in some friendly competition! Hope to see you there!
