Dear Families,

This week we look forward to two important ÒfirstsÓ:

á      On Wednesday weÕll gather families together for our first PTO meeting of the year at 7 pm in the Media Center. Please come meet new neighbors and renew acquaintances with old friends.

á      On Friday all of our first and second grade students will gather for their first assembly of the year.  This is a good time for our students to practice what it means to be a community. There will be music, teamwork, lots of group practice of basic routines and sharing.

One of my goals this year is to do a better job of capturing our work in settings like these, so if you are working parent and/or if  you arenÕt able to join us, please look to Facebook for a better sense of whatÕs happening at Coolidge.

Finally please know that we are also eager to get feedback from our families about the kinds of things youÕd like included on our new web page and/or in future posts. Feel free to email suggestions or to stop by the Office. We are fortunate that our new secretary, Cathy Cairns, is both familiar with and excited about contributing to our online presence.

.

Sincerely,

Amy

Amy Clouter

Principal

1.           Summer Reading

Teachers at all levels are still looking for summer reading lists from some students. Grade 4 requests Math calendars at your earliest convenience.

2. I am using a new message system to send this to you, one that is linked to PowerSchool. All Coolidge families should receive all communications like this. If you hear of a friend that is missing out, please refer them to Mrs. Cairns so we can look into it. Thanks!
