In mid December you will receive a letter from us asking you to do an online survey. The survey will ask you a few questions including if you would like your child's name entered into the lottery for full day kindergarten. Families must be residents of Shrewsbury to be included into the lottery.

There is a fee for full day kindergarten. Currently (2015-2016) it is $3700.00 for the year with a possible increase for the 2016-2017 school year. You will be required to pay a monthly fee beginning on September 1, 2016 and each month through May 1, 2017. (Financial aid is available to those who qualify).

In January (date to be determined) we will have the lottery drawings. There is a lottery for each district (Coolidge, Floral, Paton & Spring).  All lottery students are placed on a wait list until we know the number of full day spots we will have available. These lists will be posted on this website within a few days after the lottery has taken place.

Once we know how many full day spots are available we will send out a registration packet along with a letter letting you know your child's school and kindergarten session assignment. All students from the lottery who do not get assigned to full day kindergarten, will remain on the wait list, will be assigned to a half day session and will be called as slots become available in the full day program.

Families opting for half day kindergarten will also receive a packet with your child’s school and session assignment. This mailing will also provide details on the registration process which usually takes place in February, as well as information regarding the Parent Forum, Screenings, Summer Programs, etc.

A communication will be mailed when registration for the 2016-2017 school year is open.

If you are interested in the Extended Care Program, you need to contact Karen Isaacson, Director of Extended Learning. Please check the Extended School Care department on our website for more detained information. Karen can be reached via email. Do not do this until January.
